Privacy Policy

Water Break ("the app") helps you build a hydration habit by pausing distracting apps until you take a camera-verified drink of water. This policy describes what we collect and how it's used.

What we collect

• Account information. When you sign in with Apple or Google we receive your name, email address, and (for Google) profile photo. Your name and photo appear on the in-app leaderboard.
• Hydration data. Finished bottles, daily goals, streaks, and related settings are stored on our servers so your progress syncs and ranks on the leaderboard.

What we never collect

• Camera footage. Drink detection runs entirely on your device. No photos or video ever leave your phone, and nothing is recorded or stored.
• Your app choices. The list of apps you choose to block is managed entirely on your device — by Apple's Screen Time system on iPhone, and by Android's app-usage and overlay services on Android. It never leaves your device and we cannot see it.
• Health data. If you enable Apple Health sync, drinks are written to Health on your device with your permission. We never read from Apple Health, and Health data is never sent to our servers.

How your data is used

Solely to operate the app: syncing your progress, computing streaks, and showing the leaderboard. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties beyond the infrastructure that hosts the service (Cloudflare).

Deleting your data

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Profile → Delete account inside the app. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

Credits

On-device drink detection uses a model trained on the "Hydrovisor-2" dataset by Riaz Virani, published on Roboflow Universe and licensed under CC BY 4.0.
